Moving on from the bar at the Press Event at The Water Rats in London last weekend meant that I could have a sit down whilst I was interviewing my next guest...
Esther Hart

I was really looking forward to chatting with this great singer and very eloquent and charming lady, having seen her do such an amazing job of hosting Amsterdam Calling earlier this year.  I definitely wasn't disappointed - apart from opening up with finding out what Esther's shopping habits were, we got into the nitty gritty of why she chose The Netherlands over the UK in 2003:
I also found out why "Wait For The Moment" is nowhere to be found on the net, what she thought of Eurovision and the current selection process for The Netherlands, along with "J'aime La Vlie" (Eurovision Island):

Esther was a real star for the amount of time she gave, especially as the question about 'Eurovision Island' and what the future held was after the main chat - the Eurostarz organisers said we had to wrap the interview up originally, she moved away but found out that she didn't have to move on for ten minutes so offered me the chance to talk to her some more.  Hopefully that was because she liked chatting to me, rather than there was a chair free!  The whole interview was so relaxed and easy to compose but that was made possible by Esther providing so much information.  I know that I had already seen her at Amsterdam but I was looking forward to a repeat later that evening at the Eurostarz Concert - I loved her starry outfit:
That was a shot taken by Jo right by the stage - mine were a bit further back:
Esther sung loads of Dutch Eurovision classics including Edsilia Rombley's "Hemel en aarde" and Marlayne's "One Good Reason", along with Conchita's "Rise Like A Phoenix".  Of course we were all wanting her to sing 'her' song and she didn't disappoint (video courtesy of Stuart Cameron):

Another top notch set from Esther there - another Eurovision artist that is definitely worth seeing live.  I have to say that the Eurovision Island venue sounds tempting - watching her sing in the dunes would be a novel experience!  It was a superb way to kick off the show and warm up the crowd - I also managed to get a shot of her and the venue's logo:
Two chunks of interview that ended up lasting slightly longer than my first interview with Paula Seling & Ovi and yet at no point did either of the chats drag, due to the interest and pleasure I got with listening to both sets of artists.  So that was two out of four of the acts available to be interviewed - next up was one of the UK artists, a lady who I hadn't seen for ages before she popped up on Saturday night tv, a lady who was so wonderfully down to earth and who had a really interesting story to tell...

Interview number three was with the young woman who blew us all away
with her incredible voice in 2001 when still just 16...
The amazing Lindsay Dracass!
