This guy totally won me over in Lisbon - at the start of the Eurovision 2018 run-in, Benjamin Ingrosso often came across to me as a bit of a prat in how he acted and what he said PR-wise.  However, once we got to the Contest itself, the stories I heard about how good he was with every fan (including me outside the Delegation entrance at the Altice Arena) and how he dealt with the lack of televotes so humorously:
meant that my impressions of this guy totally changed and I am now more than happy to play his songs whenever!  "Dance You Off" is on this week's show as he was performing at both "Allsang på Grensen" and "Allsång på Skansen" - only one song played though.  In addition to those two TV shows, there are loads of Ukrainian entries linked to Kyiv Atlas Weekend and also Eurovision Live Concert 2019 has announced their first tranche of acts.  Here is the playlist:

"Slow Down" - Douwe Bob
"No Goodbyes" - Linda Wagenmakers
"You And Me" - Joan Franka
"Bigger Than Us" - Holly Tandy
"I Do" - Arvingarna
"Dance You Off" - Benjamin Ingrosso
"Every Single Day" - Felix Sandman
"J'aime la vie" - Sandra Kim
"Jag vill om du vågar" - Pernilla Wahlgren
"Time" - O.Torvald
"Under The Ladder" - MÉLOVIN
"Vidlik (live)" - ONUKA ft NAONI Orchestra
"Beat Of The Universe" - Kadnay
"Helpless" - The Hardkiss
"Galyna Guliala" - YUKO
"1944" - Jamala
"Toy" - Netta
"Jestem" - Magdalena Tul
"My Number One" - Helena Paparizou
"Tənha gəzən" - Chingiz Mustafayez
"Hey Mamma!" - Sunstroke Project
"Wake Up" - Eliot
"Higher Ground" - Rasmussen
"Shallow" - KEiiNO
"Jack In The Box" - Clodagh Rodgers
"Storm" (2016 version) - SuRie

And of course the show itself:

I'm still amazed that there is so much going on with events that are closely linked to Eurovision, even in July!  I was also stunned when I realised that I HADN'T played "My Number One" by Helena Paparizou on the show, given that she is my favourite artist.  Show 49 will be the first since the Host City bids for Eurovision 2020 have been placed with the Dutch broadcasters at Hilversum - will there be more Dutch news and music?  Will there be more announcements of who will and won't be going next year (clue below):
I can guarantee that what there will be is a link with this blog and a big announcement - you know why?

"Let Me Be The One" is
SIX YEARS OLD
on Wednesday 17th July!
Let's celebrate!
