The picture taken above at Eurostarz 2019 is one of the few times that Glen Vella was actually standing still long enough for everything to be in focus!  He had an amazing set, a mixture of Eurovision and commercial hits that seemed to be non-stop for at least quarter of an hour (that might just be my perception of time)!  Each hour of this week's show started with two songs and an interview, hour one with Glen Vella and hour two with Axel Hirsoux - very different in style and tempo but both segments really interesting.  Adding to that the two 'winners' of P4 Nästa, some new music from Eurovision and NF artists, together with some Dutch entries to acknowledge that we will know on Friday the Host City for 2020, I ended up with this playlist:

"One Life" - Glen Vella
Interview at Eurostarz 2019 - Glen Vella
"Breakaway" - Glen Vella
"De vogels van Holland" - Jetty Paerls
"Only Love Survives" - Ryan Dolan
"Gå Hem" - Amanda Aasa
"All I Need Is You" - Tim Lööv
"Funny Girl" - Laura Rizzotto
"Evermore" - Dan Stevens
"Chameleon" - Ira Losco
"Chameleon" - Michela
"Mother" - Axel Hirsoux
Interview at Eurostarz 2019 - Axel Hirsoux
"Haut l'humain" - Axel Hirsoux
"Too Late" - Eye Cue
"Don't Call Me" - Leea Nanos ft. Caleb The Rapper
"Touch" - Sebastian Calleja
"Outlaw In 'Em" - Waylon
"Lights And Shadows" - O'G3NE
"Walk Along" - Trijntje Oosterhuis
"Birds" - Anouk
"Never Alone" - 3JS
"Shine" - De Toppers
"Let Me Be The One" - The Shadows

Lots of variety including a Disney song and my personal favourite from 2018 - another really enjoyable show to finish August off with.  Here is the actual show - Axel sharing the pictorial duties with Glen this week:

There is a decent amount of music too, given that each interview was about ten minutes long and provided my now traditional 'song-interview-song' for the first part of each hour.  I even managed to play two songs from the same nation by artists who appeared at the same Concert last weekend - who knew that the word "Chameleon" was such a popular song title?  I was also delighted to have two of my favourite Dutch entries (2013 and 2017) in the final half hour too.
I picked the above picture from Eurostarz's VIP Meet & Greet session to give a flavour of what is coming up for you next week on show 56 - Martin Fitch, the final interview of the four I got at the press event at Eurostarz 2019, will be aired at the start of next week's show.  As much as I'd love to keep playing Krista Siegfrids all the time, I can't justify it as I am not going on the Eurovision Cruise this coming weekend that she is hosting.  What I probably will play is an interview that I have been given by JP of Radio International that he recorded last year at the OGAE Denmark meet.  He was fortunate enough to chat with SuRie who missed the press event in London and as we have a 'share policy' (he will be playing my Anna Bergendahl interview from the Eurofest Summer Party on his show), he has kindly supplied his SuRie interview to play on my show.  She was superb on the night and it would be a shame to gloss over her being there due to the lack of some sort of chat.  What else to add to next week's show?  The big news will be that we will all know which city we will be going to in May - will it be...

Maastricht or Rotterdam?

A teaser was posted earlier today:

Whichever city it is, The Netherlands will definitely get some airtime next week!
