I never thought that an article in my blog would ever have a JESC logo at the top but there you go - I committed myself at the end of the last 'radio show' post and I did listen to all 19 entries that will compete in Poland this year.  Having said that, I didn't listen to all of them in their entirety - the five that I play on this week's show towards the end of the second hour were my top five and those that I could listen to all the way through!  Before those, there are loads of new releases plus all the news of the week in musical form - have a listen:

One of 'my' best artist selfies, taken by Saara herself at the Press event of Eurovision In Concert 2018!  Her song "No Fear" is on the show - here is the playlist...

"1944" (instrumental) - Jamala
"Sebi" - Zala Kralj & Gašper Šantl
"Sound Of Our Hearts" - Compact Disco
"My Own Way" - Natia Todua
"Främling" - Carola
"On Top Of The World" - Edsilia Rombley
"Do It For Your Lover" - Manuel Navarro
"Alltid sommer" - Lars Fredriksen
"No Fear" - Saara Aalto
"Soldi" - Mahmood ft. Guè Pequeno
"Ceol an ghrá" - Sandie Jones
"Why I Love It" interview - Joanne Powell
"Romeo" (live) - Ketil Stokkan
"We Got Love" - Jessica Mauboy
"Dancing In The Smoke" - KEiiNO
"Rīts" - Laime Pilnīga ft. Sabīne Žuga
"Noc" - Václav Noid Bárta ft. Eva Burešová
"One" - Måns Zelmerlöw
"Sentir" - Pastora Soler
"Just Let It Go" - Robin Bengtsson
"Anyone I Want To Be" - Roksana Węgiel
"Dans met jou" - Matheu
"Raise Your Voice" - Darija Vračević
"The Spirit Of Music" - Sophia Ivanko
"We Will Rise" - Jordan Anthony
"Fire" - Mila Moskov
"Let Me Be The One" - The Shadows

I was delighted to have one of my best Eurovision friends, Joanne, on the show with her favourite song by Ketil Stokken, "Romeo":
Hopefully having her and Mick Ward on the show will kick start that segment - as for "Did I Really Just Hear That?", I have loads of examples so you will hear more of those over the coming weeks!  Talking about up and coming shows, next Tuesday is October 30th - the day after?
No, it is not the anniversary of Lordi winning Eurovision but their look would fit in with Halloween, don't you think?  I had a themed Halloween show last year:

Have a listen and have a think about what other Eurovision songs I could include next week - remember that I possibly have two hours now, although there is bound to be some news to play first.  Bare in mind that there about SEVEN Eurovision songs with "Angel" in their title so be creative - get involved and let me know your thoughts by:

I look forward to hearing your suggestions!  Have a great week and hope to catch you on All Hallow's Eve Eve...
