Anything remotely Australian needed to be played on the show this week, given what is happening on the other side of the world at the moment. Finding this song that means so much to Australians everywhere, along with this being a version that included their Eurovision artists for 2016 and 2018 was a great find (thanks again to Patrick) and opening the show with it was a no-brainer. Here's hoping that the weather changes to something more 'British' at this time of year, so the fires stop and then those affected can get on with rebuilding their communities, with any animals affected being cared for and rehabilitated in a safe place.

Quite a few new releases too - open your ears for a couple of hours and accompany me on this week's journey though Eurovision past and present (almost future, if that is how you want to view the Melodi Grand Prix 2020 material):
As I have said before, my plan is always to play as many tracks from any national final process I can get hold of, especially if they are like the Norwegians and all SF1 entries have already been released commercially. I wonder who of Raylee, Kim, Lisa and Geirmund will make it through the duels to the overall Final:

Every Monday, there will be a new batch of MGP 2020 semifinalists announced - here is hoping all the artists put their songs out there for me to play on the show. Talking of next week, this lady will play a huge part in how it sounds:Clik here to view.

One of my pictures of Tamara Todevska from the Tel Aviv Orange Carpet, one of the few there that looked directly at me when I took her picture! She looked every inch the star there, she was incredible on stage during the Contest itself and gave an aura of total professionalism at the press conferences I attended. I am really looking forward to seeing her perform on Friday:

I should also be interviewing her too before the evening starts, so tune in next week to the show to hear Tamara chat with me. It will also mean you'll hear more music from her but that is never a bad thing! I hope that I will see lots of you in person... Clik here to view.
