[LMBTO] "Let Me Be The One" Eurovision Show 89 - New Release Central...

Not sure why 'face nets' seem to be the rage with Eurovision alumni - first Loreen and now Tamta, one of the artists on this week's show, number 89, a two hour session that included ELEVEN new releases (if you include acoustic versions).  The news about Eurovision has slowed down somewhat this week and you will find that out when you listen to the show - even with that huge number of current tracks, there are still nine to slot into future shows!  What you will also notice is that my voice sounds slightly different in tone and that is because instead of using this, which did a decent job for the last three shows:
I now use this, which cost me £15 and has meant that I no longer have to tweak my vocal volume levels continually, thereby cutting a lot of time in recording the shows at the moment.  It also means that if I ever want to record a podcast, I can do so - be warned!
As for the show, there is possibly the biggest variety between old, current and new that I can remember happening within an episode of my show - have a listen and see what you think:

A few snippets of news that wasn't covered widely by the Eurovision websites plus all of those 'new' songs - have a look at the playlist, as there will be artists you know but not the songs, I can guarantee that...

"Running" (acoustic version) - Sandro
"Uno" - Little Big
"La, la, la" - Massiel
"Zero Gravity" - Kate Miller-Heidke
"You Are The Only One" - Sergey Lazarev
"That's How You Write A Song" - Alexander Rybak
"De Troubadour" - Lenny Kuhr
"Simon & Garfunkel Medley" (Home Isolation version) - O'G3NE
"Moment" (piano version) - Blanche
"Blue And Red" - ManuElla
"Kazi Mi" - Sara Jo
"Survivor" - Helena Paparizou
"All Of My Love" - Destiny
"La Mia Città" - Emma
"Mall" - Eugent Bushpepa
"Heartbreaker" - Loïc Nottet
"Changes" - Ilse DeLange
"Hora" - The Hardkiss
"Heriq Eghav" - Aram Mp3
"Dans mes rêves" - Seemone
"S'Agapo" - Tamta
"Kingdom Come" (acoustic version) - Anna Bergendahl
"Let Me Be The One" - The Shadows

There was a couple of online sessions I wanted to include in this week's article accompanying the show - first, EHC3 (as it is known in my shorthand):

And the live session by Blanche on Facebook Live - such a wonderful singer and still so nervous on camera.  I am so looking forward to the release of her new album at the end of May:

I hope you enjoyed listening to show 89 - show 90 will take a totally different tack, an thunderbolt of a decision that I had in the 24 hours between finishing recording the show and it going on air.  When Eurovision 2020 was still going ahead, I planned to have a three hour show, as I did in 2019, of my personal top 41, from bottom to top.  As we now have more time and no Contest as such to aim for, I have decided to spread out my selections over the next three weeks, in the following way...

41 to 26 (28th April)
25 to 11 (5th May)
MY TOP TEN! (12th May)

Yes, I know, every Eurovision website is doing this but why should I miss out on all the fun?

Tune in next week to find out which of the Rotterdam 41 ended up down the bottom of my list - lowest score was 3.5/10, my number one got 9.5/10.  I'll explain all my scores and how I got them in the next article but for those who don't know me that well and haven't picked up on my throwaway comments so far, have a guess as to which of these three entries finished bottom of the pile in my eyes...

I think you know me well enough to know
who is going to be the second track next week
(hint - it wasn't Natalia or Eden)...
the man who holds the title until 2021 will open show 90!
