Here are all the major cities in Italy...
ELEVEN have already said they want to host Eurovision 2022!
We are barely 96 hours after Måneskin won their 2021 trophy in Rotterdam and there has been a huge response by councillors and mayors from all over Italy, saying that they'd like to have a go. Who'd have thought that ten years after Italy returned to the fold in 2011, following 14 years in the wilderness, that everyone wants a slice of the Eurovision pie! To be fair, they have been nothing short of exceptional since their return - barely out of the top ten from year to year, two runners-up spots and a third, and now a well deserved win from these four...
"Zitti e buoni" kicked off this week's show (obviously) and the first hour covered my standout tracks from the Final - I felt that we all needed a bit of a break in hour two, so I thought that we'd pick up on those bits of news overshadowed by what has happened in Rotterdam over the past fortnight. Have a listen...And the playlist? As usual, here you go:

I said on the show that I'd flag up my question being asked to TIX via the online Press Centre during the Qualifier's Press Conference - he was hyper all the way through his bit and deservedly so! His answer was a good one and I was applauded by a couple of fans for asking such a question:
The eurovision.tv Live Blog writer was very entertaining and had their own take on where I am from:
It was a longer answer than the one I got from John Lundvik in Tel Aviv but that is old news! There were two other items I talked about and wanted to flag up for you here - first, the link to be able to vote in the Barbara Dex Award (lots of dashes read out on air, it might have got lost in translation):Second, here is the ticket link for Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2 on 9th December 2021...
I am very tempted by this myself but I will wait until September at least to get a better idea of what is happening with the pandemic situation in the UK and mainland Europe. Fingers crossed!
Show 146 will kick off with the singer involved with what I considered to be the best interval act of all three live shows in Rotterdam - Davina Michelle was superb and if she is an artist who throws her hat into the ring for the entries that the Dutch delegation will choose from, she is in with an incredibly strong chance of being the artist for The Netherlands in 2022! There is still more 'out-there' news coming out of the Eurovision world at the moment, so stay tuned for that and more newish tracks to listen, especially from those involved in 2021. One of them will be from one of the more obvious backing singers:Did you know that Hulda Kristín Kolbrúnardóttir was
the lead singer in a band called Kiriyama Family?
Find out more next week in show 146
when you can hear their new single!
