The group of JESC 2023 (plus the last five French singers!)...
Which of them won the LMBTO JESC 2023 Chart Rundown?

Junior Eurovision is gradually becoming more and more important in my Eurovision experience, given that I never covered it at all when I had just the blog!  For the first time, it has its own fan chart, made up of the rankings of ELEVEN members of the LMBTO Eurovision Facebook Group:

Mick Ward, Stelios Andreadis, Melanie Sue LoPresti, Tom/Jerome Jordan, Mark Dowd, Chris Ioannou, Danie Tregonning, Alexandros Rousos, Tuija Tervo, Joe Bleasdale and Me.

Thank you all for voting and setting up what will be an annual event, alongside the Eurovision chart that has been going for the past two years.  As for how those votes converted to placings for the 16 entries, that was all revealed on Tuesday night's show:

With the playlist looking like this...

Destiny - "Not My Soul"
Anastasia Dymyd - "Kvitka"
Maja Krzyżewska - "I Just Need A Friend"
Melissa & Ranya - "Un Mondo Giusto"
Yulan - "Stronger"
Viola Gjyzeli - "Bota ime"
Jessica McKean - "Aisling"
Anastasia & Ranina - "Over The Sky"
Tamara Grujeska - "Kaži Mi, Kaži Mi Koj"

ARHANNA - "Hoiame Kokku"
Zoé Clauzure - "Cœur"

WINNER OF THE LMBTO JESC 2023 CHART RUNDOWN!

And just to confirm my rankings;
To be honest with you all, every entry this year has its own merits and those down the bottom of my chart are solid, just not outstanding.  The Dutch entry has always been my personal favourite from the moment I heard it and nothing has displaced it from the top for me.  Having said that, as a Brit I will not turn away a UK victory here, which is still a possibility, despite the running order:
The draw as definitely weakened Spain's hand and strengthened France and Netherland's position.  The up tempo tracks are spread evenly throughout the show and I would expect the winner to come from one of those, although having heard part of the rehearsals I could see Estonia and Poland getting decent votes, due to their excellent vocals.  We will know for certain late afternoon on Sunday.
Still tickets available to see this JESC winner - it is Eurofest's 12th Anniversary on Friday 12th January 2024 and tickets are still available on Outsavvy to enjoy the night and see Destiny sing!  I will be there and thoroughly enjoying it - I will be the one wearing a Maltese football shirt, hopefully having interviewed the incredible singer herself...
So we know who would have won if the eleven jurors of the Facebook group had anything to do with JESC - will that match the actual winner of JESC 2023?  Who will be holding that trophy aloft in Nice on Sunday 26th November?

Whoever it is, they will be kicking off show 277 of LET ME BE THE ONE!
