Now I had watched the German NF and a couple of interviews with Levina, admittedly all of them in German, but I was not going to let the fact that I didn't understand a word of them stop me looking forward to interviewing her as she looked and sounded so relaxed and natural. As expected, I was not going to be disappointed:

I thoroughly enjoyed this interview - Levina was someone I could have listened to all day! She was always smiling, very eloquent and she knew her own mind, answering my questions in a non-formulaic way. I loved the funny way she described Helene, her friend in the German NF, as the 'tiny one'...
It was also interesting to get the sense that even she thought it strange singing in the Super Final against herself. I thought it was fascinating that she had conflicting emotions at that point - wanting to celebrate that she was going to Kyiv but still having a job to do to let the German voters choose 'their song'. As for where she will finish in May? It would be a travesty if Germany are anywhere near the bottom five - I really hope that Levina's wish for a top ten spot comes true for her.
Overall I would have to say that interview-wise this was my favourite of all of them in London, purely for the exuberance and pleasure that Levina showed throughout. When anyone else from the press gets to interview this lady in Kyiv, it will be a very informative and enjoyable experience, believe me!
Four down, two to go - my next interview was with yet another lady (can you see a pattern emerging?) who I missed out on when she was the only artist in the press room for the first hour but finally got to chat with later on.
