The answer to the question posed last time?
YES! I did get to chat with Mia Dimšić
at the London Eurovision Party Press Event!
This was the one Eurovision 2022 artist that I really wanted to chat to in London and I managed to do so - she was as delightful as I had hoped, very informative and still had high spirits, despite having to chat with lots of us accredited 'journos'! Not only was that a positive for the day, I also managed to chat with seven other artists who were performing that night - you'll hear who they were when you listen to the show:
Yes, I managed to speak to SuRie after four years of trying, plus these others...
"Silent Storm" - SuRie
Interview with SuRie at LEP 2022
"Circles" - Andrea
Interview with Andrea at LEP 2022
"Guilty Pleasure" - Mia Dimšić

"Disko" - LPS
"Miss You" - Jérémie Makiese
Interview with Jérémie Makiese at LEP 2022
"Vuelve Conmigo" - Anabel Conde
"Sentimentai" - Monika Liu
Interview with Monika Liu at LEP 2022
"THE WORST" - VICTORIA
Interview with VICTORIA at LEP 2022
"Lights Off" - We Are Domi
Interview with Lights Off at LEP 2022
"Llámame" (Eurovision version) - WRS
"I Am What I Am" - Emma Muscat
Interview with Emma Muscat at LEP 2022
"Her med meg" - Vanja V ft Decry
I went for 'one song and their interview' per artist and that allowed EIGHT of those pairing to be fitted into the show nicely. SIX of the 2022 alumni made it onto my Zoom recorder during the afternoon, with two former artists on there too, starting with SuRie:
then VICTORIA...
Moving onto the 2022 artists, I chatted with Andrea...Emma Muscat...
And of course Mia Dimšić...It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience at the Hard Rock Hotel and it is always a highpoint of the year to be able to talk face to face with the artists who will be singing at Eurovision. I also had the added bonus of speaking with SuRie and VICTORIA as well! I hope you enjoyed listening to the chats I had and getting a little insight into the artists themselves. Now at some point after Eurovision, I will put each artist on Mixcloud separately with their song, so you will have the opportunity to listen to each individually. I will include the links here as I do so, but there is not enough time to do that at the moment!
As I had decided not to attend the event that evening, I was able to return home and get all the interviews ready for the show! It also meant that I was able to tidy up any loose ends for my trip to Amsterdam just five days later - that will all be covered in show 192, where you will hear all the interviews I recorded at the Eurovision In Concert press event! I was also able to do something in Amsterdam that I had never had the opportunity to do in all of the press events or Eurovision's I have attended...
