SPOILER ALERT!
The Slovakian 'LMBTO'S Nation Favourite' was...

Sometimes we have a close run poll (Andorra) and then again we have one entry that appeals to over half the fans who vote!  Kristína's "Horehronie" from 2010 didn't do well at Eurovision itself but has become a cult classic since and was the winner of the weekly national poll.  Have a listen to this week's show and I'll explain more:

A bigger list this week, as there was the opportunity to play some new releases that were much shorter than the usual track you hear on the show!  As for that Slovakian poll result, here you go...
A resounding win for 2010 - EIGHTEEN out of 34 votes were for Kristína Peláková and to be honest I could have predicted that result before the poll was even posted!  Perhaps the Czech Republic poll for show 214 will be closer.
More new members for the LMBTO Eurovision Facebook Group - the first two who I cannot contact and find out their choices are Caroline King and Mihaiela Simionas, so you had The Shadows played for you.  One new member who did let me know what they liked was Eric Crawford...
Mørland & Debrah Scarlett singing "A Monster Like Me" is his favourite ever Eurovision entry (along with many others) - he also let me know which National Final entry he wanted played on the show too:
The Hungry Hearts ft Lisa Dillan sung "Laika" at MGP 2016 and immediately became another cult classic - it was the first time this song got played on LET ME BE THE ONE and perhaps not the last!  That was the only pieces in information that I had to pass onto you from show 213 this week - now an explanation of a major news event that might effect when show 214 is aired...
October 1956 - Queen Elizabeth II meets Marilyn Monroe at a movie premiere at the Empire Theatre in London.  Nothing to do with Eurovision but the year matches when the first Contest was hosted - by that time, she had been the British monarch for three years.  Seventy years on and Queen Elizabeth the Second passed away on Thursday 8th September at the age of 96, two days after show 213 aired.  At the moment in the UK, that means that normal radio broadcasting is on hold until we find out details of her funeral and when that takes place.  It might mean that show 214 will not take place on Tuesday 13th September or it might take place in a different form (subdued music, for example) - the one certainty is that the show, whenever aired, will start with the tribute she got from the UK artist from Eurovision 2022, in the form of Sam Ryder singing the Platinum Jubilee edit of "SPACE MAN":
Whichever Tuesday it is, 13th or 20th...
LET ME BE THE ONE will be here for you!
