The last entry to be revamped for Liverpool is done...
37 entries all raring to go for Eurovision 2023!

Deep in promo party season now and Piqued Jacks reveal their revamp of "Like An Animal" which isn't a huge amount different to the version we heard them win with at 'Una Voce per San Marino'.  They have been to all the promos so far and there were lots of special guests and 2023 entries on this week's show:

And the playlist?

"Like An Animal" - Piqued Jacks
"Over You" - Iana Kovalova
"What They Say" - Victor Vernicos
"Future Lover" - BRUNETTE
"I Feel Alive" - IMRI
"Feker Libi" - Eden Alene
"I Love You Mi Vida" - D'Nash
"En un Mundo Nuevo" - Karina
"Hawaii" - Public Image Limited
"Attention" - Ulrikke
"Lock Me In" (Karaoke version) - Circus Mircus
"Blood & Glitter" - Lord Of The Lost
"D.G.T (Off and On)" - Theodor Andrei
"Lose My Head" - Freya Skye
"Under The Ladder" - Mélovin
"When It All Goes Quiet" - SuRie
"Why Don't You?" - Iana Kovalova
"Quero Ser Tua" - SUZY
"If Love Was A Crime" - Poli Genova
"Contigo" - Mirela
"Rdeče" - Amaya
"Let Me Be The One" - The Shadows

Now the plan this week was to interview this lady about her career and her new EP...
Unfortunately my good friend Iana Kovalova lost her voice over Easter and as she is a singer as well as a songwriter, it was obvious to postpone our chat - that will happen after Eurovision now, as there really are no spare weeks beforehand (I did play the rest of her new EP, "No Regrets" though).  It did mean that I concentrated more on the promo parties that we have had so far  - the best new live performer was this artist:

BRUNETTE rocked in Madrid - I was super impressed with her live vocals that are almost identical to the studio version of "Future Lover".  I was also amazed with her sass and attitude during the hip hop section of the song - I still wish there was more of that but I can now see this entry doing better in Liverpool, assuming the staging is spot on.  As for those who had been on the promo circuit already, these two artists are the pick of the bunch...
Blanca Paloma has been creative with all the staging of each party and Monika Linkytė has been uber confident, almost acting as the lady to get the party started!  I will see both in Amsterdam and hopefully I will get to interview one or both at the Eurovision in Concert press event, that I and Joanne have accreditation for.  Before I talk more about that, I want to flag up that we had a couple of new members join the LMBTO Eurovision Facebook Group:
Thank you to Alec for choosing SUZY with "Quero ser tua"...
And Jessica chose Poli Genova's "If Love Was A Crime" as their all-time favourite Eurovision entries.  Alec chose a very popular National Final entry as well:
Yet another fan of Mirela's "Contigo" - what would have happened if that had gone to Eurovision?
Alika continues her journey across Europe and Israel to Amsterdam this weekend and she is one of the artists I am hoping to chat to at the EiC press event, along with watching Amsterdam Calling and Eurovision in Concert themselves.  Let's see how many interviews I get this year - hopefully I'll get a decent number that will fill in the two hours nicely and perhaps I'll have the chance to interview this singer:
I wonder if Mae Muller's distinctive North London look will continue to Amsterdam and onto London?
Join me on show 245 to find out if I managed to chat with the UK artist for two years in a row!
