Yes, it is the picture you have all seen courtesy of eurovision.tv via NPO/NOS/AVROTROS - from right to left we have Jan Smit, Chantel Janzem and of course Edsilia Rombley who opened up this week's show with "Hemel en Aarde". I am looking forward to this line-up providing us with a great show - there is a mix of tv experience plus a lot of Eurovision knowledge, which is a bit of a novelty when it comes to this sort of thing. This week's show was mainly Rotterdam as far as the news was concerned but we also got some news from Albania and that is where the lady who is the 'star' of the Mixcloud thumbnail comes in:
Eneda Tarifa has just won Kenga Magjike 2019 and was therefore a prime candidate for the picture, given that she also won FiK 54 and sung in Stockholm. I saw her sing at the London Eurovision Party that year (where the picture came from) - the only other major news was two more artists for the Australian NF and two former Eurovision stars who have been unveiled as having sung in their nation's version of "The Masked Singer" - have a look at the playlist and decide who they are...

Natasha St-Pier and Zhana Bergendorff finished 5th and 2nd as 'Cupcake' and 'Rose' in their shows - a nice light item before I moved onto MF and Eesti Laul 2020 again. I'm sort of halfway through both sets of artists/entries - hope you are enjoying hearing the Estonian entries especially. Lots of new releases too from former artists such as Mikolas, Miruna, Tijana and Cláudia, the last one having such a delightful song in Portuguese called 'Viver'...

So what about next week's show, number 71? It is getting near Christmas but it is NOT the last one before the big day itself, that will be on Christmas Eve. Hopefully I might have some of the FiK 58 songs to play you from Albania but I don't hold out much hope as they are rarely commercially released beforehand but fingers crossed anyway. If there is not much on that score, there will be more material from Sweden and Estonia, plus we might pick up some more "Did I Really Just Hear That" songs to keep you all entertained. Of course if you'd like to let me know which Eurovision entries sound "Christmassy", I can play them on the Xmas Eve show - I'll start you off...
